Most people experiencing homelessness may be eligible for the Federal CARES Act’s Economic Impact Payment of up to $1,200.
Eligibility includes U.S. citizens or resident aliens who:
– Have a valid Social Security number,
– Could not be claimed as a dependent, and
– Had adjusted gross income under certain limits.
People experiencing homelessness, case managers, and homeless advocates can apply.
The Treasury Department opened a free “Get My Payment” mobile app. for Americans to Submit Direct Deposit Information and Track Payments. You can enter your information and your Economic Relief Payments will be send to your bank, or you’ll receive a check in the mail.
