Screening Boyd Street

Produced by Nat. Fallen Firefighters Found., LAFD, Full Vision Productions
Runtime: 108 min.

Q&A with Katherine McNenny and Albert Melena.

Albert works with San Fernando Valley Partnership and helped to lead a county-wide campaign which has documented the types of unregulated often harmful items being sold at smoke-shops. Skid Row is the wholesale source for these products, which are sold at smoke shops throughout the county, often located near schools.

Boyd Street recounts the 2020 Toy District Fire that injured eleven Los Angeles City Fire Department (LAFD) members. This documentary tells the story of the day of the incident, and the recovery period and departmental self-assessment that followed.
